At the Adobe Bluffs Educational Foundation meeting on September 12, the board voted to approve $1,200 for playground equipment, including hopscotch stenciling, tether balls, soccer balls, basketballs, and playground balls; and $800 for staff CPR certification.
A common misconception is that basic playground equipment is funded by the district, when in actuality, without generous donations by ABES families to the Foundation, our kids would go without.
This fall nearly 20 staff members will complete or renew their CPR training - a critical measure in keeping our kids safe.
So far this school year, the Adobe Bluffs Educational Foundation has voted to approve $70,000 in funding to cover critical things for our children and the school, including the items listed above, as well as teacher salaries (PE, music, and three impact teachers), supplies for the health office, and more.
The annual fund raising goal is $125,000. To make your annual donation of $150 per student, click here.
