California Mantis Clan - Martial Arts
Welcome to the California Mantis Clan (CMC). Sensei Ortega's teaching style is primarily in Tang Soo Do, while also incorporating elements of kung fu such as Choy Li Fut, Northern Eagle Claw and Northern Mantis to give students a well-rounded martial arts experince. They also train with many weapons such as, Bo, Sai, Nunchaku, Katana, Jian aka the straight sword, Knife and the Karambit. Beyond the physical skills, the goal is to help students develop confidence, respect, patience, perseverance and discipline skills that can benefit them in the real world.

SDCCA -NCCS
The North County Chinese School (NCCS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization operated under the San Diego Chinese Cultural Association (SDCCA). Founded in 1979 by a small group of parents, the school offers a comprehensive Chinese language and culture curriculum for all ages, including youth classes from Pre-K through 12th grade (featuring regular tracks with ZhuYin/PinYin, Chinese as a Second Language, and AP preparation) and approved world language credits for high schoolers. Additionally, it hosts the San Diego Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML), established in 2023 to provide adult Mandarin education and promote Taiwanese cultural values.
